I'm Hidaya — born in Ethiopia, cooking from my family kitchen in Ghent, Belgium. I share authentic Ethiopian home cooking with a community of over 800,000 food lovers across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Soft breads, slow-simmered silsi, fresh ayib and everything in between — made simple enough for anyone to try at home.

From a family kitchen in Ethiopia
to a home in Ghent, Belgium
Hidaya grew up in Ethiopia, where cooking was never just about food — it was how family came together. The smell of berbere in the air, fresh injera on the mesob, coffee roasting for the ceremony: those crowded, happy kitchens are where she fell in love with cooking, learning recipes passed down from her mother and grandmother.
Today she lives in Ghent, Belgium, where her own kitchen has become the heart of her home. Hidaya's Kitchen began there, with one simple belief: great cooking isn't a talent you're born with — it's something you learn by trying. Cooking for her family every day turned into filming for thousands, and has grown into a community of 800,000+ home cooks across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Every recipe is made with everyday ingredients and rooted in Habesha tradition — from pillowy milk bread and himbasha to silsi, shiro and fresh-made ayib — explained step by step so you can actually make it yourself, for the people you love.
